Sometimes the smallest step changes everything.
Tito walked into an automotive repair shop because he was hungry.
He was filthy, his coat was hopelessly matted, he was covered in bugs, and he was fighting pneumonia that would take months to overcome.
He wasn't searching for a new life. He was searching for his next meal.
What Tito couldn't have known was that the moment he walked through that door, he had walked into the life of someone who was never going to let him leave the way he came in.
Piece by piece, Tito got better.
Tito had some catching up to do.
He needed medical care, good food, clean water, plenty of rest, and time to heal.
His badly matted coat had to be shaved, and his pneumonia and ear infections needed treatment. It would take time, but Tito was finally getting the care he needed.
Fleas, ticks, parasites, and dental problems were added to the list. With good food, vitamins, clean water, and veterinary care, his little body finally had a chance to get stronger.
Little by little, Tito got stronger. His eyes got brighter, his coat started growing back, and more of his personality started showing up.
Not because life has always been easy—but because life can change.
Tito's story is the reminder that where you began does not have to determine where you end. A different life can begin with one choice, one act of kindness, one open door, or one step forward.
